Job description

The Associate will take a leading role in developing our digital transformation,
implementing innovative processes and procedures for our business partner,
Teledyne CML Composites. The emphasis will be on the transformation from a
paper based manufacturing organisation, involving the implementation of a
Manufacturing Execution System (MES), its integration with an ERP and the
collection and interpretation of data from manufacturing and quality systems. In
addition to this, new digital technologies will be identified to improve efficiency.
The Associate is expected to collaborate closely with the business partner,
actively contributing to the creation of visualisation dashboards for key
personnel. The aim is to enhance quality, minimise waste, and optimise
processes. The Associate will be based at Teledyne CML Composites’
manufacturing facility in Bromborough, maintaining regular communication and
receiving support from academic supervisors at LJMU.

Project description

As technical lead, working in consultation and collaboration with Teledyne’s senior leadership team and
operations staff, with support from LJMU, to deliver the approved KTP project plan as follows, and as
expanded on in the KTP Application workplan.

Core activities will be split into the following areas.
1. Design and Planning of the project.
2. Development of a Data Management Framework
3. Smart workstation design
4. Digitising work instructions
5. Implement of new Digital Technologies
6. Any other duties commensurate with the grade as deemed necessary by the supervisors
